I was called to vocational ministry when in high school. After setting the call aside for several years while in college, God was patient and gracious enough to renew the call which I answered.

Ministry is servanthood patterned after the example and heart of Jesus.

Brief Call to Ministry:
From an early age, I had been taught the importance of giving your life to Christ and allowing Him to become Lord of your life. And having been reared in a pastor’s home, I knew a lot about God, but did not have a personal relationship with Him until, as a 19 year old young man, I accepted Christ as my Savior during a revival at a Methodist church in North Carolina. I always felt in my heart that God had His hand on me and that He had a special purpose for my life. Soon after getting married, my wife Martha and I agreed to serve on a part-time basis as Directors of Music, Youth, and Children’s Activities at a local Baptist church. As time went on, I began to intensely feel that God was calling me to devote my life to Him in Christian ministry. In August, 1986 I was called as the full-time Minister of Music and Youth at a large rural church in NC. In September, 1993, I was officially set apart and ordained to the Gospel Ministry by the leadership and church family of that same church. Still after twenty-eight years of Christian ministry, I still hear His voice and feel His calling every day, to totally devote my life and all my energy to serving Him.
Favorite Verse: Ephesians 3:20 “Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever! Amen.”

Life Goal:
To live a life totally committed to the Lord Jesus Christ, serving Him and others with integrity and compassion. To love, honor, and support my wife and my family all the days the Lord gives me to live.
Hobbies:
Spending time with family, flying airplanes, attending concerts and musical events.
